Mission Statement
The Alexander Foundation for Orthodontic Research and Education (AFORE)
is dedicated to providing a vehicle by which the Alexander Discipline
philosophy and technique is studied, enhanced, disseminated and perpetuated
to doctors worldwide through research, education and collaborative efforts.
Consequently, the treatment process and quality of orthodontic results will
be enriched, thus providing an improvement in health, self-esteem and quality
of life for all involved.
Key Goals
- To raise the level of orthodontics around the
world
- To develop and teach courses in the Alexander
Discipline
- To establish specific courses for certification
for those who would teach the Discipline
- To establish and support Alexander Discipline
International (ADI) Study Clubs
- To act as the communication center and link for
doctors around the world
- To publish research studies, clinical articles,
and books
- To raise
funds for orthodontic research grants and sponsorships
- To construct and maintain a research library of
former patients that can be used by universities, students and other
orthodontists studying the Alexander Discipline
- To promote orthodontics to the general public
AFORE needs friends like you. The Foundation must have your support
to continue accomplishing its mission of fostering knowledge and practical
application of The Discipline throughout the world. You know first-hand the
impact of this technique and how the quality of life is improved for the
orthodontist as well as patient. There are several ways you can help, and
